Adriana Francesca Lima is a Brazilian-born supermodel, best known as one of the faces of Victoria's Secret. The 5'10", chocolate brown-haired Adriana Lima can attribute her exotic good looks to her French, Portuguese, Native-American, and Caribbean heritage.
Adriana rose to stardom out of less than glamorous conditions. Adriana was discovered shopping at a local mall in her home town of Salvador. At the age of thirteen, she finished 1st place in a Ford Supermodel of Brazil model search.
At the age of fifteen, Adriana moved to New York City, and eventually moved on from Ford, signing with Elite Model Management. Adriana’s first big break came when she was featured in a Vassarette ad in Times Square.
Probably best known for her Victoria's Secret work and Angel status 8 years running (along with Heidi Klum and Gisele Bundchen), Adriana first graced the VS runway in 2000. Lima is also a spokesperson for cosmetics giant Maybelline New York. She is the world's fourth highest paid model as of 2007.
